FINAL SESSION BOARD REPORT - NEW MEXICO FOUNDATION FOR OPEN GOVERNMENT

Karin Foster, who did yeoman’s work advocating for NMFOG as our registered Lobbyist, helped us identify and track an unusually high number of bills this session and took the lead lobbying for more transparency with several public-private partnerships, University bio-science bills, crime victims bills, Sunshine portal legislation and Inspection of public records bills. Karin took on University President Gary Carruthers not once but twice this session and was instrumental in killing the Spaceport bill that would have expanded IPRA in a way that would have made it unrecognizable.
